Havering Road Methodist Church welcomes you to our community!

About Us

Havering Rd, as we refer to ourselves, is a local neighbourhood church, set on the divide between two varying residential areas, close to shops and schools. There has been a worshipping community on the site since 1957 when what we now call the hall was erected, a Rema building that went up fast and was used for worship in the morning and Sunday School in the afternoon. The current 'church' building was erected in 1974 and is a modern, light and versatile space.  In 2018 'The Hub' was erected which unites the orginal hall and the church worship space in to one single building, whilst also bringing us up to date with current accessibility requirements.  We therefore now have a light, airy welcome area, through which all areas of the site can be accessed, and in which we can now offer much greater community activity.
Our new garden area at the front is available for all to use as a place to rest
and to refresh both body and soul.  There are plenty of food options over the road with the Co-op and chip shop.
Our Purpose Statement to your left is a simple expression of our core ethos.  We are a worshipping, praying fellowship which seeks to grow in the love and knowledge of God and share what we discover with those who live and work in our neighbourhood. This we do in a variety of ways, which you can explore by clicking the headings above, or by simply joining us in worship any Sunday at 10.30am.
We hope you find the rest of the site useful and user friendly and look forward to meeting you when you are able.  You will find us on the corner of Havering Road and Moray Way, opposite a parade of shops with a Co-op store and the best Fish and Chip shop in the area.

There is a car park to the side of the property and we are on the 103 and 499 Bus routes from Romford.

With every blessing
