Looking ahead to Lent and Easter

Our Lent focus will be reading the whole of the Gospel of Luke.  It's 24 chapters will be divided equally (four a week) over March 10,17,24, April 7, 14 and finally Easter Sunday.  It would help if people read the respective four chapters beforehand but they will be read through then minutes before worship begins.  The preacher each week will focus on whatever area of those four chapters they feel led.

Each Sunday in Lent there will be the opportunity to listen to the four chapters in Luke’s gospel before worship begins. Read by David Suchet on CD these will be playing from 9.45am each week for any who would like to put aside some extra time as part of their preparations for Easter. The doors will be open again at 10.15am for people to gather for worship as usual. If you arrive before 10.15am please wait in The Hub until the reading is complete.

A York Course Lent Study Group will be held for the circuit on a Saturday morning from 10.15am in the church starting Saturday March 16th

On Good Friday we are once again having and early outdoor service (9.30am - so not too early) followed by breakfast.  This year we will be outside the new front entrance, weather permitting.  If it is too bad we will hold the short service in church.

Easter Sunday worship will be earlier than usual.  Please keep an eye on the calendar as the time approaches.

Satruday April 13th mini easter market and fun day, 12 noon to 3pm.  Flyer will follow very soon.
